Robotics and automation

Mechatronics, robotics, and automation are different aspects of intelligent machines

Mechatronics is the synergistic integration of mechanics, sensors, actuators, electronics, control, and embedded systems, in order to improve -- in a cost-effective manner -- the energy efficiency, accuracy, dynamics and reliability of machines. With computer control these intelligent machines can carry out new functions like vibration control and self-diagnostics. New functions make new innovations possible, such as 3D-printers, or the driver-assistance systems in cars.
